What is Dog Boarding?
Dog boarding is meant to alleviate any worries you may have while you leave your dog overnight. Dog boarding allows your pup to be in a safe and protected environment while you’re away.
Overnight Dog Boarding
Just like what it sounds like! If you’re leaving town for an overnight trip or vacation, you’ll want someone you trust to be caring for your furry friend. Our dog boarders will treat your dog with love and care while you’re away, so you can relax.
Heck, your best bud will be relaxing in their own private cabin with a comfy raised cot when you get overnight boarding! Just pack their favorite toys and blankets. Be sure to reserve your pups cabin in advance as they can fill up quickly, especially around the holidays.
Doggie Day Camp
Our doggie day camp is perfect for a brush up on your dog’s foundational behaviors. It’s the perfect balance of play and rest. Our qualified professionals will observe and supervise while your dog enjoys the company of other furry friends.
At doggy day camp, your dog will practice behaviors like patience and calm behavior at doors and walking on a leash. For some work and play time for your dog, enroll them in our doggy day care.
Dog Training Classes
Our dog training classes at Mighty Pet are a great way to get your dog started doing some more in depth training outside of your normal home or neighborhood environment. You’ll be able to work with a certified trainer on foundational behaviors with your furry friend.
Private Dog Training
If you’re looking for a more assertive approach with one on one training sessions for your pup, our private dog training is perfect for them! Your pup will work with our lead dog trainer, Meghan to create good behaviors. Meghan is a CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer Knowledge Assessed), and she specializes in modifying dog behaviors.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Much Does it Cost to Board a Dog?
- At Mighty Pet, boarding costs are $35-$45 a night!
Do You Tip for Dog Boarding?
- At Mighty Pet, we do not ask for tips for our dog boarding.
What Shots do Dogs Need to be Boarded?
- We require that your furry friend get a rabies vaccine, Bordetella Bronchiseptica vaccine, and Distemper shot. We don’t require the Leptospirosis vaccine, but we do recommend this shot for your pup. Lastly, we do require your dog to have flea prevention before they come to see us!
How Long After Kennel Cough Can a Dog be Boarded?
- Your pup can be boarded 10 days after symptoms of their kennel cough stop. Then, we are happy to care for you furry friend.
Can You Board a Dog in Heat?
- If needed, Mighty Pet can accommodate your dog while it’s in its heat cycle. We do prefer not to take dogs during heat as it can throw off the entire facility. This is because other dogs can sense that your dog is in heat, and it can send them into over arousal, whether they are intact or not.
- If you board your dog while it’s in heat at Mighty Pet, it will only go outside and explore time alone with a camp counselor.
Should I Feel Bad About Boarding My Dog?
- You shouldn’t feel guilty or bad about boarding your dog because they are getting the love and care they deserve while you’re away. One thing to note is that if your dog spends time at day camp or training ahead of time, it will definitely give them a more comfortable and familiar experience when they are overnight boarded.
